Abstract

The studio works in abstract ideas, we think about things that are not concrete realities.

Slipstream

Wedged between city buildings and a maze of Melbourne freeways, the Slipstream neon adorns the facade of a domestic high-rise. The studio collaborated with McGregor Westlake Architecture to design an interactive neon that responds to car lights and traffic movement. A code is depicted based on the beat, ebb and flow of traffic.

Cavity Typeface

Designed by Bruce Slorach, Cavity typeface references the pockmarked sandstone cavities of the Bondi Beach cliff face. The images shown are polystyrene moulds that were used to set the Sam Fiszman type in concrete. Check out the Sam Fiszman Memorial.

Located on the outskirts of Tamworth, the Werris Creek Memorial is a tribute
to the men and women injured or killed on the Australian railways.
